Meet the Team

John Lukic – Kingsley House Manager

John was appointed manager of Kingsley House when we took over possession in September 2015.  He is responsible for the day to day running of the Hostel along with ensuring that everyone is well looked after and made to feel welcome.  Our Hostel is run more like a large family than a backpackers and we have had international workers stay with us up to 2 years.  John has a background in working with youth and has a knack of building strong connections with the backpackers who come to stay.  Bryn is Johns beautiful dog that is adopted by all the backpackers at Kingsley.

Darren Fergusson – Maintenance and Cleaning

Darren has been employed at Kingsley House for the past year performing all the gardening / maintenance and general cleaning.  He is always willing to help if John isn’t about and is an integral part of the Kingsley team.  Darren has a background in commercial cleaning.

Lisa Hill – Accommodation Supervisor

Lisa is part owner of Kingsley House and comes out a few times each week to assist John with administration / bookings / and laundry.  We change wash and iron all bed linen and towels each fortnight.  Lisa also helps facilitate any social activities that occur onsite and is also the gatekeeper for untidy behaviour occurring.  Lisa’s husband Darren Hill and her sister Kim Slater both directors of Linx Employment are also the co-owners of Kingsley House.
